So what is this all about?

Let’s start with the most obvious first. Themisto, what is it and how is it conntected to the area of tech or information security in any way shape or form?

Themisto

Themisto is a small, irregularly shaped moon of Jupiter, discovered in 1975, lost, and then rediscovered in 2000. It orbits Jupiter at a distance of about 7.5 million kilometers, making it one of the outermost of Jupiter’s known moons. Themisto is notable for its highly eccentric and inclined orbit, suggesting it may be a captured asteroid or a remnant of a larger body. With a diameter of only about 8 kilometers, Themisto is one of the smaller members of Jupiter’s moon system. Its surface is likely composed of a mixture of ice and rock, similar to other small outer moons.

This site and Themisto

To be honest, there is nothing linking Themisto and tech or information security. A far fetched parallell one can draw is that we still lack in-depth knowledge in so many areas both for tech and especially in the information security area.

Why the name?

For every other non-fiction book read, I read a fiction book. More often than not that book lands under the broad sci-fi category where the action might take place on a foreign planet, or moon…
